Getting to Our Newberg Spa
We are located on Brutscher Street, one block off Highway 99W, in the heart of Newberg's commercial district. The studio sits at the gateway to Yamhill County wine country, making it an easy stop before or after visiting Dundee wineries or McMinnville tasting rooms.
From Portland (40 min): Take I-5 South to OR-99W toward Newberg. We are on the right, just past the main downtown stretch.
From Sherwood or Tigard (20–25 min): Head south on 99W. Look for Brutscher Street on your left as you enter Newberg.
From Wilsonville (30 min): Take I-5 to OR-219, then west into Newberg and turn onto Brutscher.
What to Expect on Your First Visit
A massage therapy appointment is a session in which a licensed therapist manipulates the soft tissues of your body to ease tension and support how you feel. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your start time so you can complete a short intake form and talk through your goals. A standard session at our Newberg studio runs 60 minutes, with 30-, 90-, and 120-minute options also available; the actual hands-on time is yours, and the extra 10 to 15 minutes is just for paperwork and settling in. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health explains that massage therapists work on muscle and other soft tissue to help you feel better, and that massage has few risks when performed by a trained practitioner.
First-time guests often ask what a session looks like step by step. Here is the order of a typical first visit at 901 Brutscher St, open 9 AM to 8:30 PM Monday through Saturday and 9 AM to 7 PM on Sunday:
- Check in and intake (5–10 min): Arrive, park free on site, climb to the second floor, and fill out a brief health-history form. Tell us about injuries, pregnancy, recent surgery, or areas to avoid.
- Consultation with your therapist: Your licensed massage therapist (LMT) reviews your goals, checks pressure preferences, and explains what to expect. This is the moment to mention a sore neck, low-back tightness, or a wine-country day on your feet.
- The session (30–120 min): You undress to your comfort level and rest under a sheet; the therapist drapes you and only uncovers the area being worked. Communicate during the session — more or less pressure is always fine.
- Aftercare: Get up slowly, drink water, and expect to feel relaxed and occasionally a little tender after deeper work. Soreness usually settles within a day.
- Rebooking: Book your next visit at the front desk or online. Many regulars schedule every 3 to 4 weeks.

Massage is more common than many first-timers expect. National survey data cited by NCCIH show that 10.9 percent of U.S. adults used massage therapy in 2022 — more than double the 4.8 percent who used it in 2002. Sessions typically range from 15 to 90 minutes, so you can match the length to your day. Our studio has served Newberg and Yamhill County since 2008 and holds a 4.8-star rating from 558+ reviews. Every therapist is licensed in Oregon, and research on massage benefits is best read as supportive rather than curative — studies suggest it may help with pain and stress, while serious medical concerns still belong with your doctor.
